Streamr and Data Unions have been on my radar for a little while now. I first got interested due to the node infrastructure and the high yields,
The name sort of gives away the ethos of the project and ecosystem. Its all about streaming your data which has massive utility.
Great Projects, but when you add to the mix the possibility of taking back control of your data and not giving it away for free to Big Tech. That’s what peaked my interest.
Having the possibility to monetize your data and gaining some extra income streams is an awesome idea. While also having a community of people supplying data to the union seems like a very interesting concept. Data for the people by the people, a brilliant concept.
There are currently a few projects Swash, UNBANX and DIMO, I will give you my first review below.
Learn more about Data Unions – Swash
Data Unions give people power over their data while they receive a share of the profits it generates. As the world’s first and largest Data Union, Swash enables individuals to practice their data rights while celebrating their role as essential value providers in the ecosystem.
Swash enables internet users, developers, and businesses to cultivate new realities of data ownership and value creation through new incentivisation streams, innovative data monetisation mechanisms, and a collaborative development framework, governed by the ethos of Web 3.

Data Unions like swash could be huge in the future. Being part of one might be a small stream of revenue, but when more projects start to develop so will your income. You will have the ability to pick and choose which Data Unions you would like to share with, keeping you in control,
