Deploy Timpi Collector Node on Flux: A Simple Guide

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps required to host your Timpi Collector Node via the Flux Marketplace, a decentralized Web 3.0 cloud platform that provides a secure, efficient, and cost-effective solution for deploying applications.

Prerequisites

Before you can deploy your Timpi Collector Node, make sure you have the following:

1. A Timpi Beta Key: Register for the Timpi Beta by visiting their official Discord at discord.gg/WWPfnwye2P.
2. A ZelID: Obtain your ZelID via Zelcore at https://zelcore.io/.

Step 1: Authenticate with Your ZelID

1. Go to https://home.runonflux.io/.
2. Log in using your ZelID.

Step 2: Enable d2FA in Zelcore

1. In Zelcore, navigate to the App section.
2. Enable d2FA for added security.

Step 3: Find the TimpiCollector Application

1. Visit https://home.runonflux.io/apps/marketplace.
2. Locate the TimpiCollector Application under the Crypto category.

Step 4: Set Up the Flux Storage Parameter

1. Open a new browser tab and go to https://home.runonflux.io/apps/registerapp.
2. In the “Component” section, locate the cloud symbol box next to “Environment” and “Commands.”
3. Insert your preferred environmental parameter inside the brackets with columns at the beginning and end.
4. Click the cloud symbol box and select “Update Environment Parameters.”

Step 5: Register the Timpi Collector Node

1. Go back to the TimpiCollector Application on the Flux Marketplace.
2. Input the HTTPS link from Step 4 as the value for the required parameter.
3. Click “Start Launching Marketplace App.”

Step 6: Sign the Registration Message

1. Sign the registration message with your ZelID App.
2. Click “Next.”

Step 7: Review and Pay for Your Application

1. Review the monthly cost for your application.
2. Click “Register Flux App.”
3. Select “Pay with Zelcore” to make the payment using FLUX coins.

Step 8: Wait for Your Timpi Collector Node to Deploy

Allow 10-30 minutes for your Timpi Collector Node to be spawned on an available node.

Step 9: Access Your Timpi Collector Node

1. Log in to https://home.runonflux.io with your ZelID.
2. Navigate to “Global Apps” > “My Apps.”
3. Manage and visit your Timpi Collector Node deployments.
4. Access the HTTP endpoint by clicking “Visit App.”

Step 10: Check the Logs

1. Visit one IP by clicking “Visit FluxNode.”
2. Log in with your ZelID.
3. Navigate to “Apps,” “Local Apps,” and “My Local Apps.”
4. Click “Manage,” “Manage App,” and “Log File.”

Step 11: Enter Your Email Address

Enter your email address in the Timpi Collector UI to start using your node.

Step 12: Renew Your Node Subscription (Optional)

If you wish to renew your subscription for a longer term, follow these steps:

1. Visit https://home.runonflux.io/ and log in with your ZelID.
2. Navigate to “Apps,” “Global Apps,” and “My Apps.”
3. Click “Manage,” “Manage App,” and “Update Specifications.”
4. Adjust the PERIOD field according to your preference.
5. Click “Compute Update Message.”
6. Sign the message with the ZelID App and click “Update Flux App.”
7. Click “Pay with Zelcore” to make the Flux Payment.
